Cookie policy
Information about the cookies and similar technologies used on this site.
This page describes the cookies and similar technologies used on fontanamaggiore.com, in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation, Article 122 of the Italian Privacy Code (Legislative Decree 196/2003) and the Italian Data Protection Authority’s cookie guidelines of June 10, 2021. In case of discrepancy, the Italian version prevails.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a site stores in your browser so it can recognize you on later visits or collect information. Similar technologies, such as the browser’s local storage (localStorage), work in much the same way and are subject to the same rules.
2. Strictly necessary technologies (always on)
These are needed for the site to work and do not require consent.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
fm-consent | localStorage, first party | Remembers the choice you made in the cookie banner | 6 months |
Fonts are hosted on this site’s own servers, so displaying them does not send any request to third parties. The map on the Contact page is a static image: OpenStreetMap and Google Maps are only contacted if you follow the links to them.
3. Third-party analytics cookies (only with consent)
If you give your consent, the site uses Google Analytics 4 (via Google Tag Manager) to collect aggregate visit statistics. Until then, no Google script is loaded and Google Consent Mode v2 stays set to “denied.”
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Ireland Ltd. | Distinguishes visitors under a pseudonym | 2 years |
_ga_<ID> | Google Ireland Ltd. | Keeps the session state | 2 years |

The site does not use profiling or advertising cookies.
4. Managing your consent
- On your first visit, a banner offers three choices of equal weight: Accept all, Reject and Customize, which lets you switch each category on or off (necessary cookies are always on). Closing the banner with the “×” counts as rejecting.
- You can change your choice at any time from the Cookie preferences link at the bottom of every page.
- The banner is shown again after 6 months, or if the way the site uses cookies changes significantly.
- You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings.
5. Data controller and your rights
For the controller’s identity, contact details and your rights, see the privacy policy.
